This special concert features internationally acclaimed siblings Julie & David Coucheron, performing an intimate classical program in The Oak Room—one of Serenbe’s most elegant and acoustically rich venues.

David Coucheron, Concertmaster of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and Julie Coucheron, celebrated pianist and professor at Kennesaw State University, bring decades of global performance experience, having graced stages from Carnegie Hall and Wigmore Hall to the Olympic Games and prestigious international festivals.

Meet the Artists

🎻 David Coucheron

David Coucheron is the Concertmaster of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, a title he has held since 2010 when he became the youngest concertmaster of any major U.S. orchestra. He has performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras including the BBC Symphony, Oslo Philharmonic, and Bergen Philharmonic, and has given solo recitals at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Kennedy Center, and beyond. He plays a rare 1725 Stradivarius and currently serves as Artistic Director of the Kon Tiki Chamber Music Festival in Oslo. David is also on the artist-faculty for the Aspen and Brevard Music Festivals.

🎹 Julie Coucheron

An internationally celebrated pianist, Julie Coucheron began her studies at age four in Oslo and has since performed across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Her collaborations include performances with Yo-Yo Ma, Emanuel Ax, and even artists like Elton John and the Steve Miller Band. She is the Artistic Director of Fjord Cadenza and the Georgian Chamber Players and serves as Assistant Professor at Kennesaw State University. Julie has graced venues such as Wigmore Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Carnegie Hall, and performed at both the Salt Lake City and London Olympic Games.

Together, the Coucheron siblings have released acclaimed recordings, Debut and David and Julie, on the Naxos label.
