America the Beautiful Challenge

Launched in 2021, America the Beautiful established the nation’s first goal to conserve at least 30% of U.S. lands and waters by 2030. This ambitious, locally led initiative recognizes that protecting nature also means protecting the health, livelihoods and futures of communities across the country.

Through conservation and restoration efforts shaped by local needs, America the Beautiful supports healthier lands and waters, stronger wildlife habitats and greater access to nature. The goal is to protect the places we value today while helping them remain resilient and thriving for generations to come.
