Experience Mambo, Latin Jazz & Beyond, an electrifying evening of Afro-Cuban rhythms and Latin jazz mastery featuring Bobby Sanabria & Sexteto Ibiano. This vibrant performance traces the evolution from Afro-Cuban roots to modern salsa, driven by Grammy-nominated Sanabria’s signature blend of infectious clavé rhythms and sophisticated New York jazz harmonies. It’s a musical journey across cultures, eras, and dance floors—from the streets of the South Bronx to the great mambo halls and beyond.

Doors open at 6:00 PM with a beginner-friendly Latin salsa dance lesson (6:00–6:45 PM) — no partner or experience required — before Bobby Sanabria & Sexteto Ibiano take the stage at 7:30 PM.

A seven-time Grammy nominee, Bobby has performed and recorded with legends including Mario Bauzá, Dizzy Gillespie, Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, and Mongo Santamaria. He co-led the successful fight to reinstate the Latin Jazz Grammy category after its 2010 elimination, and directs the Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra at Manhattan School of Music.
